Suluada Island, nicknamed the "Turkish Maldives," is a protected, uninhabited island near Adrasan, famous for its white sandy beaches, orange cliffs and turquoise water so clear the sea floor is visible even at 25 meters deep. Because the island is located a considerable distance from Side, this is a long full-day excursion combining scenic road travel through the Taurus Mountains with a relaxing boat trip around the island's most beautiful bays. Tour Program – Step by Step Hotel pick-up: Very early in the morning you will be picked up from your hotel in an air-conditioned vehicle for the journey towards Adrasan. Because of the distance from Side, pick-up is earlier than for most other tours; the exact time depends on your hotel location and is confirmed after booking. Scenic drive to Adrasan: The drive takes you through the coastal roads and mountains of the Antalya region, with views of forests, cliffs and the Mediterranean coastline. Boarding at Adrasan Harbor: Upon arrival at Adrasan, you board a spacious double-deck wooden boat (gulet), equipped with a lounge area, bar, shower and toilet facilities. Sailing to Suluada Island: The boat sails approximately 9 kilometers to Suluada Island, passing scenic coastline along the way. Swimming break at Suluada: The boat anchors at one of the island's stunning bays for a swimming break in the crystal-clear, turquoise water. Suluada is a protected nesting area for Caretta Caretta sea turtles, so you may spot them in the area; sightings are not guaranteed. Lunch on board: A freshly prepared lunch, typically chicken, pasta and salad, is served on the boat. Additional swimming breaks: The boat continues to other scenic spots, such as Paradise Bay, Maldives Bay or Akseki Bay, home to the so-called Love Cave, for further opportunities to swim, snorkel and relax in secluded surroundings. Return to Adrasan and transfer: In the afternoon the boat returns to Adrasan Harbor, from where you are driven back to your hotel. The total duration of the tour is a full day, given the distance travelled. Included: Hotel transfer (round trip), boat tour, lunch and insurance. Not included: All drinks, snorkeling equipment (rentals may be available on site) and personal expenses. What to bring: Swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat and a camera. Good to know: Payment is made during the tour. No prepayment is required. All tours are insured. Because of the distance between Side and Adrasan, this tour involves a longer travel time than most other excursions; please be ready well before the scheduled pick-up time. The tour is best enjoyed on weekdays, as the island can get crowded on weekends.
