This scuba diving tour takes you to Side's Underwater Museum, one of the largest underwater museums in Europe, where 117 sculptures depicting Roman soldiers, sea gods and mythological figures rest on the seabed at depths between 6 and 25 meters. The tour includes two guided dives and is suitable for complete beginners as well as certified divers; no previous diving experience is required. Tour Program – Step by Step Hotel pick-up: In the morning, at approximately 08:20–09:00, you will be picked up from your hotel in an air-conditioned vehicle and transferred to the meeting point at the ancient Side Harbor. The exact pick-up time depends on your hotel location and is confirmed after booking. Briefing: At the harbor, professional instructors explain the tour program and the basics of diving safety and underwater sign language, in Turkish, English, German and Russian. Boat departure: The boat departs at approximately 10:15 towards the first diving spot at Kumkoy Bay or Apollon Bay. First dive – adaptation dive: Each diver is paired one-on-one with an instructor for the first dive, at an average depth of 3–4 meters. This dive helps you get comfortable with the equipment and build confidence before the main dive. Guests who prefer not to dive can use complimentary snorkeling equipment instead. Lunch on board: After the first dive, a freshly prepared, hot lunch is served on the boat. Second dive – Underwater Museum: The boat anchors at the Underwater Museum for the second, main dive. Beginners dive to a depth of up to approximately 7 meters, while certified divers with a minimum CMAS 1 Star or PADI Open Water certificate can explore deeper sections down to approximately 18–25 meters, including a sunken coast guard boat, a large Poseidon statue and figures representing the Turkish War of Independence. Return to harbor: After the second dive, the boat returns to Side Harbor. Underwater photos and videos taken during the tour can be viewed and purchased. Return transfer: You are then driven back to your hotel. The total duration of the tour is approximately 6–7 hours. Included: Hotel transfer (round trip), all diving equipment, professional instructor accompanying each diver, two dives, lunch and insurance. Not included: All drinks, underwater photos and videos (available for purchase) and personal expenses. What to bring: Swimsuit, towel, sunscreen and a change of clothes. Contact lenses can be worn comfortably while diving. Good to know: Payment is made during the tour. No prepayment is required. All tours are insured. Diving is not recommended for guests with respiratory, circulatory or heart conditions, nor for pregnant women.
