The Rafting Tour takes you to Köprülü Canyon National Park, Turkey's most famous rafting destination, located approximately 60–70 minutes from Side. On the crystal-clear Köprüçay River you paddle through a scenic canyon with pine-covered cliffs, ancient Roman bridges and refreshing rapids. The rapids are Class II–III, which makes the tour exciting but perfectly suitable for beginners and families. No previous experience or strong swimming skills are required, as life jackets and helmets are provided and professional instructors accompany every raft. Tour Program – Step by Step Hotel pick-up: Between 08:30 and 09:00 you will be picked up from your hotel in an air-conditioned vehicle. The exact pick-up time depends on your hotel location and is confirmed after booking. Drive to Köprülü Canyon: The scenic journey to the national park in the Beşkonak area takes approximately 60–70 minutes, passing through the foothills of the Taurus Mountains. Arrival at the rafting base: At the rafting center you can change your clothes and prepare for the activity. Water shoes and waterproof phone cases can be purchased or rented on site if desired. Safety briefing and equipment: Professional, licensed instructors give a detailed safety briefing and hand out the equipment: life jacket, helmet and paddle. Afterwards you are transferred by vehicle to the starting point of the rafting route upstream. Rafting on the Köprüçay River: In rafts of approximately 8 people, accompanied by an experienced guide, you paddle down a route of approximately 11–14 kilometers through the canyon. The route combines calm sections, where you can enjoy the scenery of cliffs rising high above the water, with exciting Class II–III rapids full of splashes and laughter. Friendly water fights with other rafts are part of the experience. Swimming breaks: In calm pools along the river the guides make stops where you can swim in the refreshing, crystal-clear water. Please note that the spring-fed river is cold all year round, which is especially pleasant in the summer heat. Lunch: After the rafting, a freshly prepared lunch is served at a riverside restaurant. Photos and return: Photos and videos taken during the day can be viewed and purchased at the base. Afterwards you are driven back to your hotel, arriving in the late afternoon. The total duration of the tour is approximately 7–8 hours. Included: Hotel transfer (round trip), professional rafting guides and instructors, all safety equipment (life jacket, helmet, paddle), rafting tour, lunch and insurance. Not included / paid on site: All drinks, photos and videos of the tour, water shoes, wetsuit rental and personal expenses. What to bring: Swimsuit worn under your clothes, towel, a full change of dry clothes, secure water shoes or strapped sandals, sunscreen and a waterproof case if you wish to take your phone on the raft. Good to know: Payment is made during the tour. No prepayment is required. All tours are insured. The water temperature is approximately 10–14 degrees Celsius all year round. The tour is not suitable for pregnant women.
